Become a Supplier to Roots

General Policy on choosing suppliers

• All suppliers must be able to provide electronic pricing. The format may vary from Excel Spreadsheets to Comma/Tab Separated Text File.
• Roots have a policy of limiting the number of suppliers we use. It is our intention to deal with every supplier at least once per month - including those suppliers who make bespoke products to our designs.
• The products you are offering need to be different from those we are currently supplying.
• Where possible branded products will be dual sourced.
• At Roots we strongly believe that our suppliers are our business partners, without good suppliers we couldn't provide good service to our customers. If, as a supplier, you knows ways we can improve our business we expect you to tell us. (For Example, small details like the format purchase orders are sent in). If we see ways you can improve your business, we will tell you too. We work for the long term with suppliers and have in the past adapted our business system in order to improve.
• When, as a supplier, you make a mistake (yes, we know it will happen!), we like to know that it is investigated to prevent re-occurance where possible. If you would like help analysing and finding a sensible business solution to a problem we are keen to help in any way we can - just ask (we know that if your business is running efficiently, it helps our business run efficiently). If your suppliers run late and your production is delayed you must keep us informed. That enables us to inform our customers and re-schedule the various trades affected. If we make a mistake (yes, we do!) we will investigate and look to modify our business systems to prevent re-occurance. We may ask for your assistance to do this.
